Directorate and staff

Academician Oleg F. Vasiliev was the organizer of the Institute and its first Director (until October 1995). From October 1995 to April 2016, Prof. Yuri I. Vinokurov, Dr.Sci. in Geography, the honored ecologist of the Russian Federation, was at the head of the Institute. Since April 2016, the Director of IWEP is Prof. Alexander V. Puzanov, Dr.Sci. in Biology.

Staff

In 2017, a total of 179 specialists (including 83 researchers, 17 scientists with Dr.Sc and 49 with Ph D and 30 young researchers) were on the staff of IWEP SB RAS.
